- GAN technology is the most modern in terms of transistors, being superior to the MOSFETs used in current day Class D amplifiers. Switching speed and current conduction are far superior in the GAN transistor, which elevates both efficiency and the sound quality characteristics of the amplifier. You will fall in love with your favorite songs all over again.
- GAN is a HEMT (high electronic mobility transistor), which has two main advantages in the world of switching devices. One is that this transistor has much higher capacity of current conduction than a conventional MOSFET, reducing its internal resistance and the quantity of devices needed in higher powered applications. The second is that they also switch extremely fast in comparison to MOSFET. The speed and frequency of the switching directly correlates to the amplifier's THD, frequency range, and SNR, the Achilles heel of Class D technology.
